Note 1 to entry: The term “wave power” is widely used in the wave energy converter industry although the quantity is expressed per unit length of wave crest (e.g. kW/m).

Note 2 to entry: Unless otherwise specified, wave power and wave energy flux per unit width should be understood as omnidirectional, or as the sum of all wave power components regardless of direction.
