for a proportional plus integral element the input and output variable of which are of the same kind, the duration of the time interval required by the step response to reach twice the value that occurred immediately after the step was applied

Note 1 to entry: The reset time is given by

$T_{i} = \frac{K_{Ρ}}{K_{I}}$

where

K_I is the integral action coefficient;

K_P is the proportional action coefficient;

T_i is the reset time.
