Note 1 to entry: Where the term "Earth station" is used without qualification, it is presumed to refer to an Earth station at a fixed location that is not used, primarily, for communication with mobile Earth stations.
Note 2 to entry: In French, the terms "station terrienne", "station terrestre" and "station de Terre" derive from the same root, but refer to different concepts. |
