CIE standard overcast sky

completely overcast sky for which the quotient of its luminance, L_γ, in the direction at an angle, γ, above the horizon and its luminance, L_z, at the zenith is given by the relation

$\frac{L_{γ}}{L_{z}} = \frac{1 + 2 sin γ}{3}$
